What is more awkward: to overdress for an occasion or to underdress?

Both can be equal but it does depend on you personally. If you are confident enough in yourself then if you overdress for an event, you can use your confidence and overdress to your advantage. However, if you underdress, whether you are a confident person or not it can feel more awkward than overdressing.
