Do titanium flat irons damage your hair?

Okay, well i've used just about every straightener except GHD because i can't afford one of those bad boys. But i feel that Tourmaline is the best, I recently got a herstyler and it's the best i've used so far, even better than chi. Any ceramic or tourmaline is good
