How do you prepare for a job interview?

"..too far over an interview for a job that many people seem to not take seriously." - Stop yourself right there. If you go in thinking like that you're not even going to get a chance at getting hired. Yeah most of the little tweens working there might not care but you're going to an interview. The person doing the interview is not some minimum wage hourly employee, They are the salaried manager or general manager in charge of 10 plus stores. This is their career and life and if they get the tiniest hint you don't care about the job its bon voyage for you. You don't have to dress up in a suit but you should look nice. Clean nails, skin, fresh breath, and nice clothes. You don't want to appear dirty especially somewhere that makes food and is always in the public eye. You must be a team player and need to get that out there as well. There is no lone wolf work here. Its all about team work. So let them know you get along with people easily, are always finding something to do, and very courteous.
