What can I wear to a comedy show?

I'm going to a comedy show at the arena on Friday with my boyfriend and haven't a clue what to wear! I don't wanna look overdressed but we might be going clubbing afterwards so I don't wanna look too underdressed for the clubs! Any ideas anyone? Thanks in advance :)
