Wearing long dresses to college. Am i overdressed?

I have always fascinated people who wear long dresses in public. When i go shopping and try on long dresses, i like the way it makes me feel more feminine inside out. I actually have a few pretty dresses in my closet, BUT, i haven't had the courage to wear them OUTSIDE myself ! Especially in college since i go to college almost everyday now. People there wear jeans and shorts alot and so i followed the flow, but it's getting boring. I wanna break out of my box and wear my long dresses to college. However, would i be overdressed, seeing that i'm in a studying environment?
