Has anyone had any luck re-piercing their navels?

my 9 month old navel piercing recently rejected, not all the way though, it didnt go through the skin because i took it out early enough. has anyone had any luck re-piercing theirs (maybe deeper or with better metal) and had it fully heal and not reject? im getting it redone with titanium and deeper, i want it back and healed so bad :(
