I feel weird going out to parties with my friends?

So when I go out to parties I like to dress up (skirt, dress, jeans and a bold party shirt). But when my two friends go out they wear casual jeans, regular top, and sometimes a casual jacket (more like clothes you'd wear during the day at school). So I end up feeling awkward and overdressed. I'm not embarrassed by my style, I'm proud of it, and I dont have a problem with the way they dress, but sometimes I wish we could all be partners in crime and all wear cute dresses. My friends have really nice bodies, but I think they're either too embarrassed or too lazy to dress up more. Is it worth it to try to convince them to dress up the next time we go out? Or would that be stupid? If so, how? I don't mean to bash their style, they have a nice style they just wear casual clothes and in my mind its more appropriate to dress up when you go out.
