Anyone who's had an operation?

i've never had an operation at least i dont think but i've had surgery for my thyroid cancer but to answer your question the needle hurts so bad trust me have them do it in the arm you use less it'll hurt less and sometimes you might have to have 2 or 3 if the needle dosent go in the first time they do it to get blood most of the time they have to do it more then once so make sure you drink lots of water and arn't makeing a fist when there about to poke you so you dont have to get poked a few times and sometimes if your at a different hospital they can check records if they want or they still might run a blood test so they can see whats going on in your body and stuff alot of the time they do because if anything is wrong they might not do the operation that day and you might be awake or they might put you to sleep when they poke you most likely you'll be awake for me it always hurts but just try to close your eyes as tight as you can and with you other hand (the one thats not getting poked) hold onto something i know it sounds stupid but it'll kinda take your mind of of it and less hurt because your not focusing on the pain that much
