Anyone else dealt with the new walmart "Cant try on rings" policy?
Last night my fiance and I went to walmart to look at wedding bands. The main rings are already picked out so we were just looking at bands. Ive had my eye on a titanium band from over there, but I wanted to see what the weight of the ring felt like on my finger. I asked the girl if I could look at it, and she got it out of the case but said I couldnt put it on my finger because walmart had instituted a new policy that people could look at rings but no longer put them on their fingers. I find this policy be completely ridiculous if it ACTUALLY exists and wasnt some BS line from the clerk, but my question is if anyone else has also experienced this policy?? I can go in the jewelry store close to where I work, pick out the most expensive ring in the place, and try it on no questions asked, but walmart wants to go on lockdown over a $49 ring....gimme a break. If this policy exists, they wont get another cent of my money in jewelry until I know its been fixed. Either way, venting aside, just curious if anyone else had experienced that "new policy". Thank you!
